Q- Why there is no online booking?
A- Museum Hotel is not an ordinary hotel, as you will experience. It has 30+ unique rooms in 6 different categories. Each room is different depending on its size, views, facilities, location, and decor. Thus the hotel does not support online bookings. Museum Hotel is a very special hotel serving each special guest uniquely.
Q- What is the location of Museum Hotel? How far are you from the important tourist sites?
A- Museum Hotel is right in the center of Cappadocia, in the village of Uchisar, the highest peak of Cappadocia. Our hotel is located on a pinnacle, overlooking the whole region, including Mt. Erciyes, Red Valley, Goreme, Ortahisar, and the White valley. We are just 3 km away from Nevsehir, 4 km from the Goreme Open Air Museum, and 15 km away from Urgup.

Which of the airports do you suggest for Museum Hotel?
A: We have 2 airports in the Cappadocia region—Nevsehir (NAV) and Kayseri (ASR). Transportation is easy from both airports. Nevsehir Airport is 25 km away from our hotel and approximately 30 minutes by car; Kayseri Airport is 65 km and 50 minutes by car.

Why have you called your hotel “Museum”?
A:
As you spend your time in our hotel, you’ll begin to notice that, in fact, you’re in a real, living museum. We named our hotel quite simply as a result of the hobby of our founder Omer Tosun, a passionate antique collector with a wide collection of varied pieces from the Ottoman, Seljuk, Roman, and Hittite periods. From the very beginning of the project, Mr. Tosun always planned for our guests to live within the splendor and surroundings of history. Our guests experience Cappadocian culture in every way, and we strive to give you the sense of a living museum. All the rooms, suites, the Lil’a restaurant, the reception, and all the outer spaces are decorated with valuable—and in some cases, priceless—antiques, registered in Nevsehir Museum.

Is the area where Museum Hotel is located historical?
A:
Certainly! The special area where Museum Hotel is located consists of many cave and stone houses that are thousands of years old. It is known that Hittites, Persians, and early Christian Romans lived in the now carefully restored caves belonging to Museum Hotel, such as the historical Uchisar Castle. Where Museum Hotel is now located, it is known that the last inhabitants of the area were from the Tekeli clan, after which the district is named.

Are there any wellness services in your hotel?
A: During your stay at Museum Hotel, you can either choose to have a special massage in your own room or, for an unforgettable experience, on our Massage Terrace in the summer season, where you’ll be able to relax surrounded by the wonderful scenery of Cappadocia and experience the magical hands of our masseuse.

Museum Hotel owns Lil’a, one of Cappadocia’s premier restaurants. Head Chef Mustafa Buyukhan has won many national and international awards; the à la carte restaurant serves its guests with a tempting menu featuring some of the best examples of Cappadocian tastes. Delight in the rich taste of traditional and local foods—some well-known, some almost forgotten but brought to life once more. For breakfast, Museum Hotel serves an exquisite breakfast buffet, featuring a wide choice of dishes to suit all tastes. And, as a result of the hotel’s unique location, you will enjoy your meals among the breathtaking views of Cappadocia. Q- How can I reach the Museum Hotel from Istanbul?

We are just a one hour flight from Istanbul. You can take a
domestic flight with Turkish and Pegasus Airlines either to Kayseri or Nevsehir airports. Please do not hesitate to contact

Q- What is the best time to visit Cappadocia and Museum Hotel? ?
A-
The busiest season in Cappadocia is between April and November, though that doesn't necessarily mean this is the best period. Cappadocia and Museum Hotel are, in fact, beautiful all year long. As you can see from our photos in the photo gallery, Museum Hotel is a doorway to many beauties throughout the whole year, beauties that you can't find anywhere else in the world.
Q- At what time do the hot air balloon flights begin? Can you help me to book one?
A- Hot air balloon flights begin at sunrise—the best time of day for such a memorable event. We can book your balloon ride for you at no extra cost. Please ask for details. As the balloons fly at sunrise, this of course means that actual departure times move during the year.
Q- Do you have air conditioning (A/C) in all the rooms?
A- Most of our rooms have A/C, except several cave rooms; these don't need A/C because they are naturally cool in summer. However, if extra A/C is needed, it is available.
Q- Do you have suitable rooms for people who are claustrophobic?
A- All our cave rooms are spacious and have big windows, so you won't experience any sense of claustrophobia in them. We also have a choice of stone-built rooms..
Q- Do you have wireless internet connection in your hotel?

Wireless service is available at all times, on all of our terraces, at the pool bar, in Reception, in the restaurant, in the business center, and in all of our rooms.
